I'm taking part in a Brainbelt exhibition in Dublin again, running at the moment in Filmbase on Curved Street. My poster is for Blancanieves, a Spanish silence black and white take on Snow White.

Brainbelt Illustration Collective have teamed up with this year’s Jameson Dublin International Film Festival to bring you a diverse range of exciting illustrations of movie posters, classic lines and movie icons.

All inspired from a hand picked selection of films from this year's festival line-up. Keep your eyes peeled, as they will be dotted around a variety of participating cinema lobbies, box offices and bars.

The original pen and ink sketch of Loki from ages ago.

This one is part of a larger project I'm working on, but also features in the Brainbelt Illustration Collective exhibition running in the Graphic Studio Gallery until tomorrow.
Loki was always my favourite of all the Norse gods, intelligent, mischievous and quick-witted.
Fenrir was one of Loki's children (One of the perils of shape-shifting amour) by the giantess Angrboða.

The Brainbelt 2011 Exhibition in association with Design Week and Innovation Dublin is opening tonight at six in the Graphic Studio Gallery in Temple Bar. Come on down!

Another stab at this Threadless tee-shirt malarkey, with one of the brainbelt illustrations vying to achieve tee-shirt form. It seems to be getting a bit of a thrashing, so vote and comment over at Threadless.

 

The other week I won a second IDI Award for the opening title to Does God Hate? a panel discussion programme presented by Marian Finucane, where people shout / proselytise at each other about their notion of a God.

In other news, the gallery run for the Brainbelt exhibition at the Centre for Creative Practices (15 Pembroke Street Lower) has been extended until November 17th.

And I've changed the look of the blog too, hopefully it makes more sense now. It's all go at the moment.

The Brainbelt exhibition (with my some of my stuff in it) is on in the Centre for Creative Practices, 15 Pembroke Street Lower, Dublin and will be open for the rest of the week (maybe next week too).
